WALTERS, David Henry July 5, 1916 to October 1, 2004 Dave passed away at Kingston General Hospital. He is survived by his son, David of Mississauga, daughter Heather Pearson of Kingston, son-in-law, Robert and grandchildren, Keven and Sarah. His wife of 42 years, Mabel, predeceased Dave in 1990. Dave, one of twelve children, born and raised in Veregin, Saskatchewan, cherished his family and remained a westerner at heart. Dave was passionate both about his 46 year career with Sears Canada where h e retired as National Distribution Manager in Toronto, and his love of athletics, particularly baseball. For many years Dave played and coached baseball and was President of the Lakeview Lyndwood Baseball Association (Cawthra Baseball Association) in Mississauga. He promoted healthy competition for young people and began an annual rivalry between teams in Montreal and Mississauga to foster understanding and friendship between English and French Canada. Friends are invited to join us in a celebra tion of Dave's life at The University Club at Queen's, 168 Stuart Street, Kingston on Wednesday, October 6th, 2004, between 7:00 and 9:00 p.m. Donations may be sent to the Lung Association of Ontario or the Canadian Cancer Society. 10/6/2004- ID4944764 - Kingston Whig Standard
