Edna Pearl Lemmon Loved, remembered and missed everyday since you passed away on Sunday, November 7th, 2004 but especially today. Edna was born on May 10th, 1920 on the Snider homestead in the Odessa area in Ontario to the late Orlo Snider and Keitha Brown. She married her Thorpe school sweetheart, Gerald Lemmon on November 18, 1937 and lived in Odessa till the late 40's when they moved to a farm in the Morven area where they raised their family. Edna was an active member of the Morven United Ch urch and proud to have been awarded the Lifetime membership in the United Church Women's Institute. She will always be remembered as being a hardworking devoted wife, worrying mother who enjoyed her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandson, for her creativity in her crafts, cake decorating and of course her jigsaw puzzles. Having never learned how to drive she looked forward to her Thursday bus trips to Kingston, excited about planning her next escorted bus trip. She is dearly missed by all of her travelling companions. Edna was predeceased by her husband, Gerald Lemmon after celebrating 53 years of marriage, her son Kenneth Lemmon, son-in-laws Herb Chase and Allan Veech, sister Dorothy Montgomery and brother Glen Snider. She is survived by her daughters Shirley McGregor (Harry), Geraldine Bulmer (Gordon), Keitha Cross, Sharon Veech (Rick Chapman) and son Bruce Lemmon (Josh). The funeral was held on November 10th, 2004. Rev. Alvin Lasher officiated with Joan McGregor singing `In the Garden', her daughter Keitha giving the Eulogy and Fred Lemmon playing his guitar and singing `It's Supper Time' a great tribute to Edna. Her grandsons Gerald McGregor, Stephen Lemmon, David, Donald, Dwayne Chase, Kirk and Christophe r Veech carried Edna to rest. The family would like to thank Morven United Church for putting on the luncheon in honour of our mother. We wish to thank everyone for the many telephone calls, cards, floral tributes, donations of food and the donations to all the charities in Edna's name. We would like to thank the Nurses and Doctors of Davies 4 for the exceptional care and concern. Your compassion during this time of loss will always be remembered. 5/10/2005- ID6172731 - Kingston Whig Standard
