BASARABA, Morris "Red" In loving memory of Morris "Red" Basaraba, 74 years, who passed away Saturday afternoon, January 3rd, 2004 at the Sudbury Regional Hospital - Laurentian Site. Beloved husband of Elvi (Vesoja) Basaraba predeceased August 3rd, 1992. Loving father of Russell (wife Genia) of Val Caron and Cathy (husband Brian Pearce) of Hanmer. Cherished Gido and Dido of Matthew, Dean, Jessica and Marissa. Dear son of Mike and Sophie Basaraba both predeceased. Dear brother of Mary Krukoski of Woodstock, Stella (husband Norm Yoannidis) of Streetsville, Lawrence of Brandon, Manitoba, predeceased by John, Elsie, Kay, Nick and Nellie. Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Born in Manitoba he married Elvi in Sudbury in 1955. He worked at INCO for 20 years before becoming a building contractor. He was a founding member of St. Kevin's Church. Morris enjoyed work and being with people. Morris was an extraordinary father and grandfather. Funeral Prayers in the LOUGHEED FUNERAL HOME, 252 Regent St., at Hazel St., Wednesday, January 7th, 2004 at 11:30 am. Interment in the Maplecrest Cemetery.
