OWENS Kenneth "Ken" Suddenly at home on Tuesday evening, April 6th, 1999. Kenneth Harold Owens of R.R. #2, Woodlawn at the age of 86 years. Beloved husband for over 58 years of Mary (Nee Munro). Dearly loved father of Bettie MacFarlane (Scott) of Constance Bay and Ruth Bell (Scott Andrew) of R.R. #2, Woodlawn. Loved and respected foster-father of Bill Cox (Wava) of R.R. #3, Woodlawn and special friend of John Bassett of Florida. Predeceased by 2 brothers: Charlie (Late Avis) and Gordon (late Eleanor); 1 sister: Mrs. Dorothy Gordon (late Howard) and 1 step-brother: Vern Smith (Fern). Cherished "Grandpa" of Ken, Darwin, Quentin, Les and Ashlie and "Great-Grandpa" of Lana, Matthew and Hannah. Friends may pay call at the Pilon Family Funeral Home & Chapel, 50 John Street North, Arnprior on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and after 10 a.m. Friday. Funeral service will be conducted in the Pilon Family Chapel on Friday morning at 11 o'clock, Rev. Bruce Ferguson officiating. Spring interment St. George's Anglican Cemetery, Fitzroy Harbour. In memory of Ken, donations to the VON or the Ottawa-Carleton CCAC (Homecare) would be appreciated by the family.
