Raymond Gerald BROOKS

BROOKS Raymond-Gerald. Passed away peacefully with dignity and with his family at his side, on Thursday, April 15, 1999, in his eighty-second year. He was the best friend and beloved husband for fifty-seven years of Jean Lockhart. He loved and will be missed by his six children and their partners: Vicky and Peter Dekker of New Minas, N.S.; Ted and Judy Brooks of Comox, B.C.; Jeffrey Brooks and Barbara Tolloczko of Montreal; Nancy and Barry Lesser of Alesford, N.S.; Peggy and Pierre Legault of Dorval; Jennifer and James Ramsay of Atlanta, GA.; also twenty-one grandchildren: Kenneth and Stephen Dekker; Jim, Crista (Peter Nagy), Allan, and Elizabeth Brooks; Jonathan, Jesse and Prin Brooks; Eric, Kevin and Brian Lesser; Matt, Genny, Jessica, Marie-Anne, Clara and Jeremie Legault; Allie, Paul and George Ramsay; and great-granddaughter Ruby Yee-Brooks. Also survived by his loving sister Pauline Brooks and sister-in-law Helga Brooks. The family wishes to thank the staff of Bayview Centre for the care, love and understanding they showed Ray during the four years he stayed there. In lieu of flowers, donations to Camp Caritas, The Pillars Trust Fund, and Le Bon Dieu Dans La Rue would be appreciated. Visitation will be Sunday, April 18 from 2 to 4 at Armstrong Funeral Home, 1640 Cote Vertu, St. Laurent, and 1 hour prior to service at Holy Family Parish. The funeral will be on Monday, April 19 at 2 p.m. at Holy Family Parish, 7355 Lajeunesse St., Villeray, Montreal. Reception to follow.
