FRANCIS, Evangeline "You have given so much and taken so little." Peacefully in hospital on Tuesday, May 18, 1999 at the age of 91. Our beloved "Auntie Vangie" Evangeline Howell, wife of the late Perceval Francis. Dearly loved mother of Joyce Russell of Ottawa, Lloyd Francis of England, Merle McCalla of Jamaica, Polly Francis of Brooklyn, N.Y., Sibyl Whyte of Baltimore, MD., and Norma Francis of Ottawa. Survived by her sister Mrs. Campbell and by her brother Dan Howell, both of Jamaica. Also survived by 19 grandchildren, 64 great grandchildren, and 4 great great grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by many friends and family. Friends may call at McEvoy-Shields Funeral Home, 235 Kent Street on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Saturday from 11 a.m. until the Funeral Service in the Chapel at 1 p.m. Interment Dovecot Cemetery, Jamaica. Special thanks to all the nurses, doctors and staff at the Riverside Hospital, Versa Care Nursing Home, Ottawa General Hospital and St. Vincent's Hospital for their devotion and care.
