LAVIGNE Alcide (Sid) Peacefully on June 18, 1999, at the Ottawa General Hospital, at the age of 68. Son of Prescilla Lavigne and the late Alex Lavigne. Father to Lucienne (Lucy) Rolland (Robert) of Maxville, Suzanne (Sue) Robinson (Marcel) from Berwick and Janita (Jan) Lavigne (Oliver) of Orleans. Grandfather to Steven, Chris and James Rolland; Marc, Julie, Rachel and Nicole Robinson and Andre Bercier. Beloved friend of Melita Farrell, Vanessa, Gloria, Amanda and Courtney. Brother to Lucien (Yvonne) of Moose Creek, Alice Sabourin of Pembroke, Laurier (Colleen) of Cornwall and Lucille Seguin (Bruno) of Alexandria. Predeceased by brother Rene, Gerard, Marcel and sister Rejeanne Pilon. Friends may visit at the St. Laurent Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 1200 Ogilvie Road at Aviation Parkway, Gloucester, on Monday, June 21st, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Tuesday, June 22nd, from 10 a.m. to 12 noon. Funeral Mass will be held at 1 p.m. from Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Roman Catholic Church, 320 Olmstead Avenue, Vanier, followed by cremation. Donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
