Irene HIGHFIELD

MATTICKS, Irene (nee Highfield). After a courageous battle with cancer passed away piecefully at home with her family at the age of fifty-five years, on Tuesday, June 29, 1999. Beloved wife of William Matticks, beloved mother of Tracy (Bob), Tara (Rick), beloved daughter of Bertha Highfield and the late James Highfield, beloved sister of Lynn (Brian) and Joan (Elmer), beloved aunt of Ian, Kevin and Jason. She will be deeply missed and always remembered for her loving ways. Many thanks to the staff and volunteers at St. Mary's Hospital (Oncology Ward) for their professional and compassionate care. Visitation at Collins Clark MacGillivray White Funeral Home, 307 Riverside Drive (and Argyle), St. Lambert, on Thursday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service from the Chapel on Friday, July 2, at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated by the family.
