MacKAY, Kirby Peacefully in hospital, Tuesday, July 6, 1999, at age 53. Kirby MacKay, husband and soulmate of Jessie Morin. Loving father of Robin and Tim. Stepfather of Jason (Pascale) and Paul (Becky). Son of Elda MacKay of New Glasgow, N.S. and the late George MacKay. Brother of Kent (Jane) of Saint John, N.B. and uncle of Greg (Becky), Jeff and Jill. Special son-in-law of Anna Kessels; brother-in-law of Bill (Lolita), Leo (Maureen), Jopie (Bruce), Anna (John), Ria (Paul); special uncle to nieces and nephews. Heartfelt thanks to the General Hospital Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) Team and nurses of 5-West and the Elisabeth Bruyere Palliative Care team. Friends may visit at the West Chapel, Hulse, Playfair and McGarry, 150 Woodroffe Avenue at Richmond Road, Ottawa on Thursday, July 8 from 6-9 p.m. and Friday, July 9 from 5-7 p.m. Funeral service to celebrate Kirby's life will be held in the chapel, directly following the visitation at 7 p.m. on Friday, July 9. Memorial donations to the BMT Unit of the General Hospital, would be appreciated.
