Moira Gowan MCFADDEN

McKENNA, Moira Gowan (nee McFadden). With grace, dignity and tremendous courage, Moira passed away at home on Sunday, August 29, 1999, surrounded by her loving family. She is mourned by her best friend and husband of forty-eight years, Wilfrid, her adoring children Ian, Sara, Tricia, Philippa Jayne and Claire, their partners, Julie, Stew, Terry, Peter and Louis, and grandchildren Garrett and Patrick; Laura, Julia and Jeffrey; Michael and Tristan; and Xavier. In keeping with her express wishes, a private family service was held. A Mass will be said for her on Sunday, September 5, at 11:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in Chateauguay. Following the mass, friends are invited to the family home. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Fondation Quebecoise du Cancer (514-527-2194). Heartfelt thanks are extended to the medical staff who cared for her during her brief illness: Drs. Ayoub, Bahary, Nyguyen and Perrault, as well as C.L.S.C. Home Care.
