Vera Miriam BETCHEL

MELLOW, Vera Miriam (nee Bechtel) Peacefully in Ottawa, after a courageous battle with cancer, on Monday, September 6, 1999, in her 80th year. Beloved wife of Hubert Grant "Mel" Mellow. Dear sister of Elmer of Goshen, Indiana, Clayton (Rose), Mable Brubacher, Vera's twin sister Verna Bechtel, Florence Moncur (Donald), Bernice Moncur and Beatrice Meirowski (Clayton). Predeceased by one brother, Willard Bechtel (Doris); her parents, Eden Bechtel and Maryetta Rudy. Friends may visit at the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 315 McLeod Street, on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday from 2 p.m. until Service time in the chapel at 3 p.m. Cremation. As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the Ottawa-Carleton United Way would be appreciated by the family.
