Bessie Babyn (née Zaharko) May 13, 1925 - August 16, 2004 Funeral arrangements by Evergreen Funeral Home BABYN, Bessie (nee Zaharko) May 13, 1925 - August 16, 2004 On Monday, August 16, 2004, Bessie passed away after a courageous struggle with cancer. Left to cherish her memory are her children: Edward, Shirley (Harold) Jacobsen, Angeline (Allan) Petsuk and Bohdan (Brenda Barker); her two beautiful grandchildren: Kyle and Michelle Petsuk; her sisters: Mary Melstrom of Courtney, BC and Stella Munson of Moose Jaw, SK; her three brothers: Andrew of Derwent, AB, Steve and John both of Vermilion as well as numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends. Our mother now rests peacefully, reunited with her parents Samuel and Annie, her husband Fred, brothers Mike, Paul, Nick and Emil and numerous family members and friends. Prayer service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 19, 2004 at the All Saints Orthodox Cathedral, 5824 - 118 Avenue where the Funeral Liturgy will be held on Friday, August 20, 2004 at 10:30 a.m. with Archbishop Joseph Royer officiating. Interment will follow at the St. Michael's Cemetery. Those wishing to pay their respects may do so on Thursday between 5:30 and 6:30 p.m. and on Friday between 9:00 and 10:00 a.m. at the Evergreen Funeral Chapel, 16204 Fort Road.
