Mrs. Alison Viola "Gene" Eugenia Delecia (née McKie) July 13, 1952 - July 09, 2004 Funeral arrangements by Salon Funéraire Rideau / Rideau Funeral Home Passed away suddenly and peacefully on the 9th of July 2004 at 5:06pm. Born in St.Vincent and the Grenadines, only daughter to Hugh and Stacey McKie, devoted and beloved. Cherished mother and best friend of Nicole DeLecia. Loving wife to Ken DeLecia. Loved daughter-in-law of the late Stella Chambers. Loved niece of Pearl Benn, Rhea Benn, Carmen Greenaway, Nora DeGrass, Inez Brunnings, Lester DeGrass and the late Erdley McKie and Clive McKie. Loving sister-in-law to Margaret Leacock, Noreen Haynes, Bridgette Regisford, Ronald Chambers and their spouses. And a devoted second mother to many. Relatives, cherished friends and many others who were brought into her life will miss her true unconditional spirit. We admire her resilience in adapting to new environments. Whether it be leaving the beautiful sun kissed island of St.Vincent and the Grenadines for the snow covered peaceful prairies of Saskatoon, Sakatchewan, to the cosmopolitan melting pot of Toronto, to the stampeding fervor of Calgary, Alberta onto the “joie de vivre” of francaphone Quebec where she now rests. We love you and see the strength you embody. To know her is to be forever changed by her giving nature and sincere love. Visitation will take place at The Rideau Funeral Home, 4275 Sources Blvd. D.D.O., QC. (514) 685-3344 on Friday July 16th, 2004 from 2:00 to 5:00pm and 7:00 to 9:00pm. The funeral service will take place at The Bethel Gospel Chapel, 4250 deMaisonneuve, Montreal, QC. on Saturday July 17th, 2004 at 10:00am with visitation commencing at 9:00am.
