Marie Claire SIROIS

Marie-Claire (Sirois) Desbiens, Smooth Rock Falls Long-Term Care Facility, died on June 22, 2000 at the Smooth Rock Falls Hospital. She was 93 years old. Mrs. Desbiens was born Apr. 16, 1907 in St-Hubert, Québec. She worked as a homemaker. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting. She was predeceased by her husband Isaure Desbiens, sons Isaure Jr. and Isaure Jr., daughter Suzette, and parents Odille Legacé and Alfred Sirois. Mrs. Desbiens is survived by her sons Guy (Florence) of Loretteville, Québec, Yves (Mona) of Kitchener, Ontario, René (Louise) of Sudbury, Philippe (Cécile) of Missisauga, Ontario, Paul André (Faye) and Gabriel (Thérèse) both of Smooth Rock Falls; daughters Odette (Francois) Breton of Smooth Rock Falls, and Lauraine (Germain) Bélanger of Lake Worth, Florida, USA. She is also survived by her sisters Bebianne, Agnes, Bernadette and Bertrande; and brothers Sylvio, Arthur, Rosaire and Bertrand. Mrs. Desbiens has 22 grandchildren and 39 great grandchildren. The funeral was held June 24 at Ste-Gertrude Church. Mrs. Desbiens will be interred at the Smooth Rock Falls Cemetery.
