GÉLINAS, Omérile (née Ross) The family announces with sorrow her death Wednesday, January 19th, 2000 at Pioneer Manor, at the age of 98 years. Daughter of the late Octave Ross and of the late Adèle Ross (née Lepage). Wife of the late Eugène Poitras and of the late Joseph Gélinas. Loving mother of Léo Poitras (wife Rose) of Val Caron, Adélina Dupuis of Windsor, Lucien Poitras (wife Jeannette) of Hanmer, Georges Poitras of Cobalt and Eddy Poitras of Sudbury. Predeceased by her daughter Anna LaPlante and by her sons Gérald Poitras (wife Rachelle of Hanmer) and Walter Poitras. Dear sister of Eva of Sudbury and Hormidas of Outawa-Hull. Predeceased by her many brothers and sisters. Also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great, great grandchildren. The family will receive friends at the CO-OPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, 4571 St. Joseph Street, (at Hwy 69), Hanmer, Friday 2-5 p.m. and 7-9:30 p.m. A funeral service will be held Saturday, January 22nd, 2000 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of the Co-Operative Funeral Home.(The Sudbury Star)
