Marie jeanne Arseneault-83- of Grande Prairie, Alberta. Marie Jeanne Arseneault passed away at her daughter's residence in Grande Prairie, Alberta on Tuesday, April 18, 2000 at the age of 83, after a courageous battle with cancer. Jeanne maintained a loving spirit and her never ending sense of humour until her last active days. She was born at St. Anaclet, Quebec on September 30, 1916. She married Leopold Arseneault and moved to Alberta in 1950. They settled in the Peace River Country. She is survived by five sons; Paul (Jeanne) or High Level, Alberta; Clement (Liliane) of Manning, Alberta; Auguste (Barbara) of Guy, Alberta; Yves (Margaret) of Grande Prairie, Alberta; Real (Kimberly) of Manning, Alberta and by six daughters; Elvine (Robert) Boulet of Grande Prairie, Alberta; Rose (Paul) Blais of Cranbrook, British Columbia; Gaetane (Larry) Beluz of Cranbrook, B.C.; Jacinthe (Raymond) Gervais of Clairmont, Alberta; Paulette Wagner of Grande Prairie, Alberta and Suzanne (David) Parenteau of Canyon Creek, Alberta. She is also survived by three brothers; Louis and Rene Proulx of Quebec, Napoleon Proulx of Peace River and a sister Laurette Boucher of Peace River, Alberta. Jeanne was predeceased by her husband in 1968, two daughters, Denise in 1946, Rejeanne in 1971, a son Gerald in 1976, a son-in-law Fred Wagner in 1999, a sister Marie and a brother Romeo. She will be lovingly remembered by 25 grandchildren and 28 great- grandchildren and numerous other family members and friends. Funeral services were held on Monday, April 24, 2000 at 2:00pm at Ste. Anne Catholic Church in Falher, Alberta with Father Lesmerises officiating. In lieu of flowers the family would greatly appreciate donations to be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
