Celina Papineau (née Daudlin) January 13, 1908 - November 25, 2001 Suddenly in her 93 year, on November 25, 2001 at La Chaumiere Retirement Residence. Beloved wife of the late Edward (1993) and the late Alvin (1939). Loving and caring mother of Leo and wife Angie Papineau, of Windsor, Denis and wife Madeline Papineau, of Belle River, and the late Dolores (1998). Mother-in-law of Paul Laliberte. Cherished “Mémé” of Michael, Tim, Cathy, Debbie, Ron, Celine, Donna, Rob, Margaret, Ann, Denise, David, Mark and “great-mémé” of thirteen. Dear sister of Marion Donais of Lucknow, and Cecile Dupuis of Chatham and the late Noah, Bill, Tony Daudlin, Margaret Jubenville, and Madeleine Diemer. Celina was a member of the St. Simon and St. Jude Catholic Women’s League for over 50 years. C.W.L. prayers Wednesday at 3:00 p.m. Parish Prayers Wednesday at 8:00 p.m. Visitation Wednesday from 2-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, November 29th at 10:00 a.m. from The Melady Funeral Home and Chapel, 572 Notre Dame St., Belle River (519-728-1500) to the St. Simon and St. Jude Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. Fr. Gerald Bedard will be the celebrant. Interment at the St. Simon and St. Jude Cemetery. As your expression of sympathy a donation to the Heart & Stroke Fund would be appreciated.
