Alexander Meek Lynn Charters January 01, 1920 - June 23, 2001 At St. Peter’s Hospital on Saturday June 23, 2001, Alex Charters in his 82nd year. Dear husband of the late Phyllis Charters. Loving father of Susan and Jim Downey. Cherished Papa of Andrew and Sarah Downey. Predeceased by his son Robert, brother James Charters and sister Anne. Loving uncle to many nieces and nephews. Also remembered by his other family members and friends. Alex was a long time employee of American Can Company, active participant of many choirs and a enthusiastic Tiger Cat fan. The family will receive friends at the DODSWORTH & BROWN Funeral Home, Robinson Chapel (King Street East at Wellington, Hamilton)on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A service of remembrance will be held at the ROBINSON CHAPEL on Friday at 2 pm. Memorial tributes in Alex’s memory can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
