(retired Bell Canada employee; former President and honorary member of the Gloucester Skating Club) Suddenly, but peacefully at home, Thursday, January 4, 2001 at the age of 68. Beloved husband of Kay (Cathy) (Dobranski). Much loved father of Donna (Hans Rooyakkers) and Jodie (Jeff Baker). Precious popa to Sydnie and Tyler. Survived by his mother Sophie Bierko (Antonik). Son of the late Stanley Bierko. Cousin to Wanda Manchel (Frank). Brother-in-law of Joseph Dobranski (Madeline). Uncle to Stefan. Uncle and Godfather to Claudia (Marc). Great-uncle to Jessica, Alexander and Jacob. Dear friend of Eddie Schaecter, Wally and June Zamojski. Fondly remembered by several cousins, aunts, uncles and friends from the United States, Cambridge and Montreal. Friends may pay respects at the Kelly Funeral Home, 2370 St. Joseph Boulevard, Orleans, Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m., and Sunday 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Monday to Good Shepherd Church for Mass of Christian Funeral at 2 p.m. Interment Beechwood Cemetery.
