Ruby Florence LANIGAN

(nee Lanigan) Peacefully at the Township of Osgoode Care Centre, Metcalfe, Ontario, on Sunday, February 18, 2001. in her 90th year. Formerly of Ennisclare Drive in Oakville and Mountainbrow Boulevard in Hamilton. Beloved wife of the late Frederick Charles Thomas (owner of Thomas Haulage Ltd in Hamilton). Much loved mother of Cameron Thomas and wife Cassandra, and a very special grandmother to Christopher and Heather Thomas of Manotick, Ontario. Predeceased by her two sisters and five brothers. Ruby was a dedicated and hard working member of St. John's United Church in Oakville, and later St. John United Church in Hamilton as well as a volunteer with the Canadian Cancer Society for many years. She will be missed by all who knew her. Friends and family are invited to call at the KITCHING-STEEPE Funeral Home, 146 Mill St. N., Waterdown, on Wednesday, 2:30 - 4:30 and 7 - 9 p.m. A celebration of her life will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, February 22, at Kitching-Steepe Funeral Home. The family would like to thank all the staff at the Township of Osgoode Care Centre and Dr. O'Connell for the wonderful care and support she received for the past seven years. the family would appreciate donations to the Canadian Cancer Society.
