GOWER, Donald James Calvin - On Friday, December 12, 2008, Donald James Calvin Gower of Sarnia passed away peacefully at Bluewater Health Mitton Street Site at the age of 81. Beloved husband of Peggy (Jakubiszen) Gower. Don together with Judy (McIssac) Gower loving parents of the late Dale Robert Gower, Lonnie Charles Gower (Barbara), Terry Donald Gower (Luanne), Andrew Straus (special friend) and step-father of Cindy Jakubiszen, Tony Jakubiszen, Michael Jakubiszen, Claudia Jakubiszen and the late Peter Jakubiszen. Cherished grandfather of Jeremy William Gower (Erin) and Sara Elizabeth Gower (Luke) and great grandfather of Jacob Bryan Deblaere and Adele Alice May Gower. Dear brother of Hazel Leila Pearl (Gower) Turner, Lyle Arthur Gower, the late Victor Charles Gower and the late Mary Beth Loureina (Gower) Kirk. A memorial open to friends and family will be held to celebrate Don's life on Thursday, December 18, 2008 at SMITH FAMILY CENTRE (in front of Smith Funeral Home, 1576 London Line, Sarnia) from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Cremation has taken place.
