Carrie BEST

Dr. C. M. OC, LLD, DCL Dr. Carrie Best passed away peacefully at home in New Glascow, NS on Tuesday, July 24, 2001 at the age of 98. She was predeceased by her husband Albert T. Best and brothers John and Bill. She is survived by her son J.C. Best (Doreen deceased), Ottawa; foster daughters Berma and Sharon Marshall and foster son Aubrey Marshall; granddaughter Christene, Vancouver, B.C.; grandsons Jamie, Ottawa; Stephen (Frances), Boston, MA; Kevin (Arwah), London, ON; and great-granddaughters Nicola and Sarah of Ottawa. Dr. Best was well known throughout Canada as a journalist, human rights advocat and humanitarian. Funeral Service will be held Friday, July 26, at St. George's Anglican Church, New Glascow, NS.
