passing of André Simard at the age of 88. André lived life with purpose, curiosity, conviction, and an unwavering devotion to those he loved. A respected lawyer whose integrity and intellect earned him the admiration of colleagues, clients, and friends, he believed in doing things properly, working hard, and never settling for mediocrity. For 62 wonderful years, he shared an extraordinary love story with his beloved wife, Patricia. Together they travelled the world, creating a lifetime of cherished memories. A gifted athlete, André was an avid sailor, swimmer, a tennis champion, and an exceptional skier. Blessed with a phenomenal memory, he remained a lifelong student, continuing to learn new languages right up to the day he passed away. At the age of 70, inspired by his lifelong passion for classical music, he took up the piano, proving that it is never too late to pursue a new dream. Above all, André was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. Nothing brought him greater pride than his family. He often said that they were his greatest joy and his finest accomplishment, and he celebrated each of their successes as though they were his own. He leaves behind his wife, Patricia; his son, Jean-François (Tracey); his daughter, Stephanie (Johnny); and his grandchildren, Gabriel (Amanda), Olivia ( Camille), Clara (William), Tommy, Sidney, his siblings, and many friends . As per his wishes, a private celebration of life will be held.
