E. John PURDIE

Peacefully at the Ottawa Hospital surrounded by his loving family and close friends on Wednesday, September 19, 2001. John Purdie in his 55th year. Loving son of David and Ruth Purdie of Renfrew. Brother of Brian (Irene) of Renfrew, David (Debbie) of Smiths Falls and Joyce (David) McMahon of Ottawa and life partner for many years of Murray Lavigne of Ottawa. John is fondly remembered by his God daughter Jennifer Purdie, and his other 6 nieces and nephews and 3 great nieces and nephews. Resting at the McPhail & Perkins Funeral Home, 85 Munro Ave. at Lorne, Renfrew, Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. and Saturday from 12:45-2 p.m., where the funeral will be conducted in the chapel Saturday at 2 p.m. Rev. Ron Hunt presiding. Interment Thomsonville Cemetery. Donations to Ottawa Hospital - General Campus Intensive Care Unit would be gratefully acknowledged. An invitation is also extended to family and friends to attend a memorial service at a later date and time in Ottawa.
