Sheila MACRURY

Peacefully, in her seventy-seventh year on Friday, October 26, 2001 at the Strathmore in Dorval, Quebec, after a lengthy illness. Predeceased by her devoted husband Bill Smith. Sheila remained the cornerstone of her family and was greatly loved by her two sons Rodney (Ann Gibbins) and Ronald (Anne Leger) and loving grandchildren Allison and Andrew. Survived by her sisters Mary, Rita, Nellie, and brother Ronald; sisters-in-law, Annie, Polly and Grace; lifelong friend Joan Dawson and many more caring relatives and friends. For many years Sheila's ever giving generous spirit supported the Meridian's of First Presbyterian Church in Verdun. To honour and remember Sheila and the many happy occasion we shared with her, a funeral will be held at Collins Clarke Chapel, 5610 Sherbrooke St. West on Wednesday, October 31 at 11 a.m. Interment, Montreal Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation on Tuesday, October 30 from 7 to 9 p.m. Donations in Shiela's memory to the charity of your choice would be appreciated. The family would particularly like to thank the staff at the Strathmore for the wonderful care and kindness shown to Sheila as she became a vibrant member of their family.
