Harriett Lillian SMITH

Peacefully, following a brief illness, in hospital at Smiths Falls on Thursday, November 8th, 2001, Harriett Lillian (Smith) Doran in her 90th year. Wife of the late William Alvin (Al) Doran and deeply loved mother of Hal (Harold) of Ottawa and Iris of Smiths Falls. Hal, Iris and friend Donna Rogers were with her at the end. She was predeceased by her parents William Abraham (Bill) and Annie (Parks) Smith, of South Sherbrooke Township, Lanark County, her beloved brothers John (Jack), Laurence (Larry) and Lloyd (Bill) Smith, and brother Ernest (Ernie) Smith, and sister Laura (McNicol), as well as cherished aunt Margaret (Smith) Bygrove. Her life-long devotion to her career of teaching brought her much joy and many friendships. Friends may pay their respects at the Lannin Funeral Home & Chapel, Smiths Falls on Friday, November 9th from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Saturday, November 10th at 1 p.m. Interment St. Stephen's (Anglican) Parish Cemetery, Brooke.
