Mildred Jessie MORRIS

SORENSEN, Mildred "Mickey" Jessie 1928 - 2002. Mickey passed away suddenly from complications following surgery at The Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops, BC on April 29, 2002. Mickey was born in Montreal, QC on August 18, 1928 to Alan and Jessie Morris. She was predeceased by her parents and sister Dora. She leaves her loving husband Arne; sons, Gary (Carla) of Sudbury, ON, Dwight (Cheryl) of Thompson, MB; grandchildren, Garrett, Chace, Kelsi and Landen; brother Alan of Pincourt, QC and sister Shirley of Sutton, QC. Mickey and Arne were married in 1950 in Montreal, QC, and made their home during their union in Halifax, NS, Norfolk, VA, Thompson, MB, Mississauga, ON, Sudbury, ON and finally Winnipeg, MB. She will be fondly remembered for her cheerful and friendly disposition and her expertise in decorating and entertaining her many friends and family members. She enjoyed her many travels to the U.K., California and Florida. Cremation has taken place and a private family memorial celebrating Mickey’s life will be held shortly in Winnipeg.
