PARNALL, Allen Lloyd - died peacefully at PRHC on Monday, January 13, 2003. Lloyd and Norma (Rennie) shared a rich life together for more than 61 years. Lloyd loved and was loved by children Ted and Ruth, Janet (and Ralph, deceased), and Linda and Alan, and was a cherished Poppa of Mandy, Jay and Sandi, Gillian and Kate, Lisa and Geoff. Lloyd was part of a warm family and will be missed by sister Ruth Nichols and Rod, and brother Bob Parnall and Frances, predeceased by Max Parnall and Frances. Nieces and nephews with their children will miss Lloyd in the extended family. Born in Peterborough, Lloyd was a member of RCAF Squadron 419 during the war. He was a store owner in Havelock for many years where he was an active member of the community. He served on the town council, the school board, church committees and men’s clubs. In 1980, Lloyd and Norma retired to Peterborough. Family and friends will be received at COMSTOCK Funeral Home, 356 Rubidge St. from 7-9 p.m. on Wednesday, January 15. The funeral will be held at Trinity United Church at 1 p.m. on Thursday January 16, with visitation at the church 1 hour prior to the service. The family would appreciate donations, in lieu of flowers, to be made to the Brain Tumour Foundation, the Five Counties Children’s Centre or a charity of choice. 1/15/2003- ID1248824 - Peterborough Examiner
