In hospital on Wednesday, January 23, 2002 at the age of 78. Alta Simser beloved wife of the late Alfred Powell. Loving mother of Faye Schaler (Wayne), the late Edward, and Alvin (Darlene). Dear sister of Evelyn Austin and the late Lloyd Simser. Much loved grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and friend. Friends are invited to a Memorial Service on Saturday, January 26, 2002 at 3:30 p.m. in the Chapel of McEvoy-Shields Funeral Home, 235 Kent Street. The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at the Winchester District Memorial Hospital for their dedication and caring.
