(Retired Teacher and Principal with Lanark Board of Education for 35 years) Suddenly in hospital, Carleton Place, Ontario on Friday, January 25, 2002 at age 67. Merdy Armstrong beloved husband of Grace Morris, Carleton Place. Dear father of Kirk (Kim), Carleton Place; Wendy (Mrs. John Healey), Frankville, Mary Armstrong at home and by step-daughter Naiomi Thompson. Dear brother of Gloria Easey, Vancouver, B.C. Also survived by 6 grandchildren Matthew and Nicholas Healey and Kurtis, Kaitlyn, Dylan and Sarah. Merdy will be remembered by Margaret Owens. Predeceased by one daughter Lori, one brother Hugh and two sisters Irene and Alma. Friends may call at the Kerry Funeral Home, 61 Lake Ave. West, Carleton Place for visiting on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thence to St. John's Anglican Church, Innisville for funeral service on Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. Rev. David Andrew officiating. Cremation to follow. Interment of cremated remains at St. John's Anglican Cemetery, Innisville in the Spring.
